🎥 Video Editor/Animator [ Remote Home-Based ]

Do you excel at bringing stories to life through motion graphics and video production? Florist Window is looking for a Video Editor/Animator to create dynamic animations and engaging videos for our clients’ websites and social media channels. This is a remote position, offering the freedom to work from home while elevating how local florists promote their products and brand identities to the wider world.

Role Overview

In this role, you’ll produce captivating animations and high-quality video content that grabs attention on digital platforms. From short promotional clips to longer brand stories, you will collaborate with our in-house team, or independently if you prefer, to ensure each florist’s unique style and message shines through. If you also have social media marketing experience, there is potential to combine this position with our Social Media Guru role, allowing you to take full ownership of content creation and distribution strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Post-Production
   • Utilise editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to craft visually appealing final cuts.
   • Manage colour correction, sound mixing, and transitions for polished, professional videos.
2. Animation & Motion Graphics
   • Create eye-catching 2D animations and titles, preferably using Adobe After Effects.
   • Design motion graphics that illustrate floral concepts, brand messaging, or product features in an exciting format.
3. Conceptualise & Storyboard
   • Work with our creative team (or independently) to storyboard ideas for promotions, highlight reels, and social media teasers.
   • Ensure each storyboard supports a cohesive narrative that resonates with each florist’s identity and target audience.
4. Collaboration & Feedback
   • Coordinate with web designers, social media specialists, and project managers to ensure each video aligns with broader marketing objectives.
   • Incorporate client or team feedback efficiently and effectively to maintain consistent quality.
5. Social Media Integration (Optional)
   • If you also have social media marketing skills, help develop content strategies across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
   • Align your video projects with engagement goals, brand awareness campaigns, and local marketing initiatives.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Proficiency in Video Editing Software: Skilled in programmes such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong Animation Skills: Experience with Adobe After Effects (or similar tools) to create motion graphics, animated logos, and dynamic visual elements.
• Visual Storytelling: Ability to convey messages clearly and creatively, capturing attention through compelling narrative techniques.
• Attention-Grabbing Content Creation: Experience creating short-form, shareable videos optimised for websites, social media feeds, and marketing campaigns.
• Collaboration & Time Management: Comfortable working in teams (remotely) with designers, developers, and project managers, meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Advantage – Social Media Marketing: A background in social strategy or campaign management, enabling potential overlap with our Social Media Guru role.
