LATEST NEWS & DEVELOPMENTS

Tim Cartledge is back! Yes, the heart of the business returns for this new era of Florist Window. This means that we will now be able to realise the full extent of his vision for the company. In this, he will be aided by new co-director Jim Woolfe, who shares Tim's commitment to providing unrivalled services with that personal touch. Jim brings with him a wealth of experience in business development, design and customer service, and is looking forward to working with Tim and the team to drive Florist Window forward to the next level of success.

We do have to say a fond farewell to Paul Hill, company co-founder and software developer, who will be moving on from the business at the end of April. We extend heartfelt thanks for his invaluable contributions and wish him all the best for the future.

Development

One of our top priorities is the strengthening of our technology platform to ensure that we can roll out the new features we want to offer to the FW community as soon as possible. To that end, we have expanded our development team, who are currently working on updating and testing coding and stability to ensure that the platform remains robust and any new feature operates as it should!

Despite an exterior server breakdown before Valentine's Day, we are pleased to report fantastic sales for FW florists. However, we did recognise room for improvement in communication channels, so this is something we will be working on. We will keep you updated on progress. Thank you for your patience!

Why Cold Calling a Florist Is Disrespectful

Why Cold Calling A Florist is DisrespectfulWhy Cold Calling A Florist is Disrespectful And How to Handle it Fast! If you run a retail flower shop, you've probably had that call. You're in the middle of creating a bouquet, the phone rings, and instead of a customer, it's someone trying to sell you a service you never asked for. Cold calling a retail flower shop to sell them something over the phone is often seen as disrespectful because it interrupts their work during peak trading hours when they’re serving customers, creating designs, and managing time-sensitive deliveries. Florists are hands-on professionals, not sitting at desks waiting for calls. They ...Read More

Why the Florist Down the Road Isn’t Really Your Competition

Why the Florist Down the Road Isn’t Really Your Competition At first glance, many florists assume the other local florist in the same town is their main competitor. However, if you look more closely at how customers actually shop, especially outside regular opening hours, you’ll see that the real competition often lies elsewhere. Here’s why. When Being “Local” Isn’t Enough A shopper searching for a florist online at 7pm, for example, will often land on Google Maps results or a florist’s website. If that website does not allow them to order online ...Read More
